Dodge Super Bee & Scatpack Artwork

The name given to the Super Bee had a double meaning. Yes, the Bee was the name of the Special Edition version of the car they built. It also referred to the B Body platform that Dodge built the Super B on. In 1971  it was built on the Charger Body Style instead of the Coronet. At the bottom is the entire 1971 Dodge B Body lineup!

The Scat Pack was a performance package for Dodge muscle cars that included a bumblebee logo and stripe. The logo and stripe indicated that the car could run a quarter-mile in 14 seconds or less. The term "Scat Pack" was first used in advertising in the late 1960s. "Scat" refers to the term "scat", as in "Get out of here!". The "Pack" part comes from Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack.

The Scat Pack Club offered members stickers, catalogs, newsletters, and an all-weather racing jacket. Membership cost $5.95 and didn't require the purchase of a vehicle.

The Scat Pack was revived in 2014 and is now available on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack and the HEMI Scat Pack Shaker.
